Anna is a Plant-Based Registered Dietitian and Transition Coach Specialist who passionately enjoys helping busy individuals and families transform their health through the power of plant-based foods. Through PlantNourished (www.plant-nourished.com), she supports and works with others via virtual 1-1 consultations, as well as through private and group coaching so that they can reach optimal revitalized health.
Anna has been in the field of dietetics for over 17 years. During this time, she has practiced in a variety of settings. She has worked as a clinical pediatric dietitian at the University of California at San Francisco Medical Center covering a variety of services including the pediatric cardiac intensive care unit, as a Nutrition Consultant for the Division of Public Health in North Carolina and also as a Senior Clinical Research Dietitian on a large randomized research study on food allergies in London, United Kingdom. Anna graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nutritional Sciences Dietetics, completed her dietetic internship at the University of California at San Francisco Medical Center and then obtained a Master of Public Health in Nutrition degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Having now lived in 4 different countries (United States, Singapore, Canada and the United Kingdom), Anna has had a wide range of experiences and the opportunity to sample a variety of distinctive culinary cuisines. Her Asian upbringing and Western training gives her a passion now to make plant-based eating easily accessible to both Asian and Western audiences through practical nutrition recommendations and flavorful Asian and Western inspired recipes. She strives to show how simple and easy the transition can be to a more plant-based eating pattern – one that will bring eating pleasures around the dinner table, immense health benefits and longevity to the whole family!
Anna has completed the Certificate of Training in Vegetarian Nutrition from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and enjoys working with busy individuals and families who want to take proactive steps to their improve their health and reduce the burdensome toll of diet-related chronic diseases. Apart from blogging, Anna is also a busy mother of three young children: a grade school child, a preschooler, and a toddler!
