“My experience with a plant-based diet was positive. I was overweight and had high cholesterol. I switched to a plant-based diet for more than 6 months. I lost 20 pounds during this time. My cholesterol level went back to normal. I cut off all meat and dairy products. Occasionally I would eat wild caught salmon and eggs. I would recommend anyone to try this to stay healthy.”                   – Conciliah C.

New Year resolutions, setting agendas, weight loss New Year resolutions, setting agendas, weight loss goals, 28 day challenges…have you noticed a similar trend to these 2021 New Year advertisements and social posts? It’s about jumping on that bandwagon of starting fresh for the year…while goal setting is on people’s minds and we’ve got the desire to do it.🕰️🌠
.
Don’t get me wrong…take a challenge if it helps give you that extra motivation to make some big changes in your life. But for many of us – it doesn’t need to be this way. You don’t have to follow the crowd. Things don’t always have to be in a rush. And sometimes when you set really big goals, and have trouble meeting them successfully, it can also feel like a pretty big setback and disappointment later.🙍‍♀️
.
In this society we live in, we often already have pretty busy, fast-paced lives.🌀 Obviously now with #covid19 things are a little bit slower, so let’s capitalize on that and take the less hectic and hurried path this year. 🌅Let’s choose to focus more intentionally on the things that can really matter in life – like health, family and relationships. I’ve also found that when we as parents visibly relax and take things slower, our children also tend to relax and enjoy life a bit more! 👶🏻🧒🏻
.
So…I’m really been enjoying my own slower start to this year…been doing some much needed home spring cleaning, outdoor activities and spending time with my family indoors (yes, this included puzzles!). 👩‍👧‍👦What about you? What are you enjoying so far about 2021?🌿
